Strengths: ​Solid height and weight with a thick lower half, displaying very good AA, with very good acceleration, foot quickness, agility, body control, balance, and COD with good long speed and explosiveness. Solid mental processing to react quickly to backfield pressure plays with solid awareness. Very good patience and vision on zone runs, makes quick reads down the LOS. Very good burst once he sees the hole and works through arm tackles while keeping his acceleration. Good play strength and very good contact balance to break through tackles. Keeps moving his legs and does a good job of absorbing contact. Very good creator in the open field. He has deadly cuts and good footwork to make guys miss. Elusiveness makes him tough to get a good hit on. Solid finisher does not shy away from contact and has the play strength to push piles. Very good competitive toughness. Plays at a high level and is not afraid to get hit and hit people. Solid blocking overall in the pass game. He is willing to get involved. Good pass catching ability, smooth route runner. Uses foot quickness with solid awareness to manipulate LB's to create separation. Very good hands and acceleration immediately after the catch. He will be a three down back at the next level.
Weaknesses: ​Struggles to manipulate LB's with footwork and pressing gaps then to bounce or bend. Struggles to finish consistently, needs to drive his legs through contact and play with better pad level. Blocking technique needs improvement. Needs a better base and pad level. Needs work on picking up stunts and twists.
Summary: ​D’Andre Swift is a good RB that will help a team win at the next level. He wins with his AA, contact balance, physicality, and ability in the passing game. He is a very complete back that will have an impact in the run and pass game. He struggles manipulating LB’s at the second level, and needs to work on his nuance.
